A StaySAFU AUDIT badge (a "badge") is issued to a project upon completion of our smart contract / blockchain process verification for a project. Our verification process is designed to provide guidance to developers when it comes to their smart contracts as well as displaying an associated security rating.
A StaySAFU KYC badge (a “Badge”) is issued to a project upon completion of our “know your customers (KYC)” vetting process for the project. Our vetting process is designed with the aim of de-anonymizing developers and enhancing transparency in the crypto industry. Specifically, our KYC vetting process consists of the following procedures:When a project passes our "know your customers (KYC)" verification process, a StaySAFU KYC badge is granted to it.
The goal of our vetting procedure is to allow for more transparency at the project team level. The procedures that make up our KYC verification process are as follows:
Identity Verification. We'll gather identification documents from project participants and run them through a third-party verification tool to ensure ID legitimacy, conduct a liveness check, and generate a customized risk assessment.
KYC Questionnaire. We’ll give the project a questionnaire that gathers information from personnel internal to and responsible for the project as well as documented proof indicating their duties with relation to the project.Investigation & Review. The data gathered through the steps outlined above will be analyzed and reviewed.
Recorded Video Call. We'll hold a live, recorded meeting to authenticate all of the submitted identity papers. The date shown in a Badge for a project is the date on which we completed the KYC verification procedure for that project as described above. As a result, you may not infer from the Badge that we have completed any processes or renewed the KYC screening process at any point beyond the Badge's expiration date. Furthermore, our Badge does not imply that the information provided by a developer is accurate or full, that such individuals will not engage in any harmful behavior, or that we will be able to identify frauds performed using "deep fake" or other advanced methods. Instead, the Badge should be seen for what it is: a statement that we made commercially reasonable efforts on the date of the Badge to fulfill the KYC processes outlined above.
